Access to your AAU email will cease to exist 90 days after your last exam, and all content will be deleted. If you have important emails, you need to either back them up or forward them to a private email address.

If you have an active email correspondence, you should inform the recipient that this correspondence should continue via another email. Forwarding or auto-reply will be removed when your email account is deleted.

Your files in OneDrive will be deleted the day your AAU account closes. This is 90 days after your last exam. If you leave AAU before completing your education, you need to be aware of the date set as your last day.

If you want a copy of your files from OneDrive, we recommend downloading them to your PC and transferring them to a physical medium, such as locally on your PC or an external hard drive, or you can transfer them to a cloud solution you use privately, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

Your files will be deleted when your account closes.

If you have used OneNote on your Windows or Mac computer and you want to take your notes with you, be aware that it is your responsibility to move them or to make a backup in some way. If you have a Windows computer, you can export your OneNote to another OneNote notebook that you have created with an account that is not your AAU account. If you have used a Mac, you can unfortunately only manually copy everything over to another notebook or download it as a PDF file.

Your access and license to Office 365 will cease when your AAU account closes. Therefore, you will no longer be able to use your AAU license for the programs included in this package, such as Word, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Your access to Moodle will cease on the day your AAU account closes. Therefore, it is important that you review your Moodle rooms for files, materials, or anything you consider important and ensure you back them up.

With the closure of your AAU account, you will also lose access to the Teams you are part of. This includes Teams you have created and have been invited to. As your account is deleted, it means it will no longer exist and will therefore be removed from the respective Teams.

As a student at AAU, a range of software is made available to you, such as Matlab, Maple, SPSS, etc.

You will lose access to these programs when you are no longer a student and your account closes.

If you have used your AAU email to create an account on a website or are subscribed to a newsletter via your AAU email, you need to ensure that you change your email address to one that you still have access to - like a personal e-mail.

You may still be able to log in to these websites with your AAU email and password, but if you forget your password, you won't be able to use the "Forgot Password" feature as the website will send a link to your AAU email, which you no longer have access to.
